Dear Friends,
We, the trustees of the Elrod Cemetery Association want to keep in touch with all families and friends who are connected with the cemetery. We all have a common interest - That is, we have relatives and friends who have been buried there and many of us plan to be laid to rest there also.
We appreciate all who have been loyal in giving to the fund. Without the gifts from so many, the cemetery could not have been kept as it has been for almost forty years. Thanks to all who have made it possible! We do not accumulate enough interest money to keep this effort going. We have to take donations at the decoration every year and so many of our people are not there at the set time of 1:o'clock or so. They decorate on Friday and Saturday morning when no one is there to accept donations. As one lady said a few years ago, "It is all our responsibility to donate money for the cemetery". I'm sure no one wants it to grow up like it did before 1970. Those of you who live away and cannot attend the decorations may mail your contributions to:

We are blessed to have a dependable man mowing for us and we want to keep him. The $125 charge includes the trimming around the tombstones. We need to keep building our fund and also get our children involved. Someday all will depend on them. We older ones who have been there for many years are slipping away, sad, but true. Some younger people will replace some of we older ones. May we all work together for this cause and keep a good thing going!
